Ikea uses iPhone 8 launch to remind us it still makes wirelessly charging furniture

Ikea introduced furniture that can charge your phone through the Qi wireless charging

standard back in 2015. Now, that Apple is adopting Qi in its latest iPhone 8 and iPhone X models, Ikea is piggybacking on the anticipated surge in popularity with some witty ads that play off a few of Apple’s most well-known phrases. Essentially, Apple’s “This changes everything” mantra has become the “This charges everything” ad campaign, while “Think different” is now “Link different.” Ikea’s wireless charging appliances include floor lamps, table lamps, and nightstands with embedded charging pads. There are also separate single and triple charging pads if you prefer to place them wherever you want.
